This Privacy Policy (‘Policy’) applies to CCC Construction Cost Consultants Limited (‘CCC’, ‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’).

We collect personal information directly from you when you engage us to provide rebuild valuation services.

This may include your name, company name, address, phone number, email address, property address, insurer details, payment information, and information gathered during the site inspection, such as photographs or LiDAR scans of the building and property being assessed.

These images and scans are collected solely for valuation, measurement, and reporting purposes. They are not used to identify individuals and are not used for marketing or promotional purposes.

We may also collect information indirectly from third parties such as insurers or brokers, as permitted under IPP 3A of the Privacy Amendment Act 2025.
Where personal information is obtained indirectly, we will notify the individual unless an applicable exception applies.


2. Use of Personal Information

We may use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, manage, and deliver Rebuild Valuations and related services;
  • To invoice you and manage payments;
  • To communicate with you about your valuation or related queries;
  • To respond to requests from your insurance provider or broker (with your express permission);

  • To assess your creditworthiness or recover unpaid debts; and

  • IT service providers, payment processors, and debt collection agencies that support our operations

4. LiDAR, Photographic and Biometric Data

As part of our valuation process, we may use LiDAR scanning and site photography to assist in accurate property measurement and analysis.

These data are used solely for technical, reporting, and insurance purposes. They are not used to identify individuals.

We comply with the Biometric Processing Privacy Code 2025 and ensure that all imaging or biometric data is securely stored and retained only for as long as required to meet our insurance, legal, and valuation record-keeping obligations.

5. Storage and Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.

Information is stored securely on our local server and Microsoft 365 systems located in New Zealand and Australia, with access limited to authorised personnel.

All service providers, including cloud and IT partners, are required to maintain privacy and security standards comparable to those under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

6. Retention of Information

We retain personal information only as long as needed to:

  • provide our services
  • meet legal or insurance obligations
  • resolve disputes

When information is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised, unless we are legally required to retain it.

You may request deletion of your information, and we will comply where permitted by law.

We use cookies to:

  • Analyse website usage.

Information gathered during Rebuild Valuations may be used for research and statistical analysis purposes.
